About the Author
Vischer wurde am 30.06.1807 in Ludwigsburg als Sohn eines Pfarrers geboren. Er besuchte das Gymnasium in Stuttgart und ab 1821 das Seminar in Blaubeuren. 1825 begann er sein Studium der Theologie und Philosophie in Tübingen. Er pflegte Freundschaften mit Mörike und D. F. Strauß. 1830 wurde er Vikar in Horrheim bei Vaihingen, 1831 Repetent in Maulbronn, 1833 in Tübingen. Dort erhielt er eine Stelle als Privatdozent für Philosophie und Ästethik und wurde 1844 Professor. Wegen einer allzu freimütigen Antrittsrede wurde er für 2 Jahre suspendiert. 1855 wechselte er als Professor ans Polytechnikum nach Zürich, von 1866-1877 war er Professor für Ästhetik in Stuttgart. Vischer starb am 14.09.1887 in Gmunden am Traunsee.

Good Starter Book

This is a good book if you want to learn the basics of strength training. Chapter 11 Understanding Nutrition and Chapter 12 Sensible Eating and Weight Management are a plus. I thought the end notes at the end of each chapter was a good touch for people who desire to read more on the subjects. I was a little disappointed and expected more, but overall a decent book.

Don't waste your money

Despite having read hundreds of online books, i have never left a review but i felt so ripped off by this poorly written book that is hard to folllow and full of mistakes.

Truth in well written fiction

A close friend of my wife's suggested this story to me a little while ago . She said once she read it she thought of me and my wife . I lost my wife a few years ago unexpectedly after surgery . We met at 14 years and she was my high school sweetheart, and we married .after college. We had three children, and we had been married 46 years six months and 11 days when she died from complications after a successful. Afterwards,. I had very similar experiences as the main character and I know that with help from others, and support from others , life does can go on. I also learned that we each go through this process in our own way and in our own time . The author goes on to show us that even well written fiction can teach us about life .

A Good story but a little sad at times.

I found the narration in this book to be done very well. I enjoyed the main characters, but the story was sad and depressing as there was suicide and characters who struggle as a result of it. I listened while in my car for only short periods of time and I was okay with it. It might be quite emotional if you try to sit and listen to the whole story at once.
Some may find the doctor and patient relationship on the taboo side.
Overall I was satisfied with my time spent listening to this novel.

The unexpected outcomes make great reading

The nom de plume is off-putting but the writer has good style and the story flows nicely from the typical hostage situation to several twists and turns that you don't expect. There were many side characters who added to the story and one cant be helped when they start cheering for the children and wanting the death of the wicked queen.

'Hostage' takes a while to read as the pace is slow at times but worth a look.

Brilliant! An absolute gem of on marketing..

There are plenty of marketing books out there. So what makes this one stand out? Let's start with what this book is not. It's not one of those marketing text books that tries to blow you away with big marketing terms and concepts. There are enough of those out there, and honestly, most of them wouldn't work in the real world.

What this book is to me... is a little lighthouse. A pick-me-up guide to what marketing is really all about. Why marketing is so important, and if you are a marketing practitioner, why you fall in love with your job in the first place. It's a wonderful guide that will point you back into the right direction - your customer!
